I am a fan of Esterbauer books. They have more than 200 books detailing bike trips in many different countries. Despite having GPS what I usually do is to use the Esterbauer Books to draw the route in the Google Earth. Then, with the TRACKMAKER ( free software) I download the track into my GPS. JUST PERFECT!!!! In addition to that, Esterbauer books show and describe the most interesting attractions as well as hotels along the route. The majority of the books is in German, nevertheless they are extremely helpfull and in some way, self-explanatory. There are also few books in other languages.
